Ushakov Provides Details on Russia-U.S. Negotiations
“It was a very serious conversation on all issues.” The negotiations between the Russian and American delegations in Riyadh have concluded. Russian presidential aide Ushakov provided details on the 4.5-hour talks.
“The negotiations between Russia and the U.S. went well. Russia and the U.S. agreed to take each other’s interests into account. The two superpowers cannot avoid communicating with each other. It is still difficult to say that Russia and the U.S. are getting closer, but they have started discussing that. It is hard to specify a particular time frame for a meeting between Putin and Trump, but it is unlikely to happen next week.
Separate teams of negotiators from Russia and the U.S. will begin discussions regarding Ukraine. The decision on who will be part of Russia’s negotiation team concerning Ukraine will be made by Putin; the U.S. has yet to appoint its representatives,” he stated.
