After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated, "This war must end. I have declared that our country will continue to work on implementing decisions aimed at ensuring the safety of commercial navigation in the Black Sea. We believe that such a decision would serve as a confidence-building measure in the process leading to negotiations," the Turkish leader said.
He also noted, "Turkey is an ideal place for negotiations between Russia and Ukraine." Reminder: Today, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Ankara. The agenda of the closed meeting included steps to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
