Maybe They Should Discuss Their Own Critical Issues: Zakharova

It would be better if the Nordic countries were concerned about the fate of Greenland rather than Ukraine, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on her Telegram channel.

“The Prime Minister of Finland has called for a parliamentary session to discuss the issue of Ukraine,” reported the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat. “In Sweden, lawmakers are being called to a session as well. The theme is the same: Ukraine,” wrote Aftonbladet, Zakharova added, “Maybe the Nordic countries should discuss their own critical issues—Greenland? At least ‘at the same time.’”

It is noteworthy that at the end of last year, former US President Donald Trump stated that it was an “absolute necessity” for the US to take control of Greenland.
