Turkish Club Offered 10 Million Euros for Spertsyan: Why the Deal Failed

Trabzonspor had reached an agreement with both Krasnodar and Edouard Spertsyan, but the transfer did not materialize after intervention by Suren Chakhalyan, the acting head coach of the Armenian national team. This was reported by Armsport, citing the Turkish outlet fotospor.com.

According to Turkish media, Trabzonspor made a transfer offer to the Russian club in January, but the deal failed due to political reasons. It is mentioned that the Russian club was willing to let the 24-year-old player go, and Trabzonspor had made an offer exceeding 10 million euros, including bonuses and a percentage for future sales.

The source indicates that Spertsyan did not reject the offer. Negotiations were progressing with the player's agent, Rafaela Pimenta, and Spertsyan was also fond of the idea, as he would receive a significantly higher salary in Turkey. Furthermore, Krasnodar had allowed Spertsyan to meet with representatives from Trabzonspor.

However, Suren Chakhalyan and the Armenian football circles discussed the issue and persuaded Spertsyan to decline Trabzonspor's offer, insisting that it could negatively impact his national team career.
