Investigation Launched into Reports by Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine

Based on reports of criminal activity submitted by the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine (ZCMC), a criminal case has been initiated under the article concerning self-justice. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia to Sputnik Armenia.

“A criminal case has been initiated regarding the reports obtained about the strike conducted by a group of employees of the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine, under the first part of Article 460 of the Criminal Code,” the Investigative Committee noted.

It should be recalled that, as previously reported, violating the labor legislation of the Republic of Armenia and employment contracts, a number of employees of the ZCMC did not show up for work on January 31, 2025, failed to fulfill their work obligations, or left their workplaces, making unfounded and unrealistic demands for wage increases, thereby disrupting the company's work process.
