What Penalty is Imposed for Submitting Incorrect Information in Declarations

When citizens submit a declaration, they have the right to correct it once. If the State Revenue Committee (SRC) identifies any issues, it allows another opportunity for correction; following this, a warning is issued, and after the warning, a penalty is imposed. This was disclosed by the head of the SRC, Edward Hakobyan, during a discussion in the National Assembly on the topic of universal declarations.

“The fine is 5,000 drams for wage earners and contractual employees, but of course, it is higher for business owners (this refers to organizations with gross revenues exceeding 1 billion drams), which amounts to 50,000 drams. The next step is to double these fines, meaning the 5,000 drams becomes 10,000, and the 50,000 drams turns into 100,000 drams. From this perspective, we have also carried out work last year; for example, we initiated about 2,638 administrative proceedings. In addition, we are conducting supplementary work, sending notifications to cooperatives so that they exchange data, and we also work remotely with individuals to facilitate their declarations,” he said.
