Strong Geomagnetic Storm Expected

This year marks the first G2-G3 class of a more powerful geomagnetic storm. LeVon Azizyan, the director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, announced this on his Facebook page.
“Astronomers are warning about the possibility of a powerful X-class solar flare. On February 7-8, a G2-G3 class geomagnetic storm is expected,” he stated, citing the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the United States.
The upcoming geomagnetic storm is due to several eruptions that occurred on February 1, 2, and 3, accompanied by a coronal mass ejection from the Sun. The flow of particles is expected to reach Earth on February 7 and 8, generating a series of geomagnetic storms,” he added.
