Romanos Petrosyan on Garik Sargsyan's Bonus
The head of the State Revenue Committee, Romanos Petrosyan, addressed the issue of Garik Sargsyan, the head of the enlarged community of Vedi, awarding himself a bonus and stated that he cannot evaluate it at this time.
“If he hadn’t given himself a bonus, I would have said, ‘Kudos to you, Garik, how do you manage to live on 200,000 drams a month?’ The salaries of community leaders are very low today,” Petrosyan noted.
In response to the observation that if he is giving himself a bonus of 1.2 million drams, it means it is five times his salary, Petrosyan clarified, “If that’s for the year, then it turns out to be a monthly bonus of 100,000 drams. Is that too much, in your opinion? Let’s not lower our discussion to the level of everyday life.”
It should be recalled that the press reported that the mayor of Vedi, Garik Sargsyan, allocated a bonus of 1.2 million drams to himself at the end of the year.
