Tbilisi Situation Remains Tense
Protests continue in Tbilisi, with demonstrators demanding the release of journalist Mzia Amaglobeli and other individuals arrested during previous rallies. This has been reported by Caucasian Knot.
It is noteworthy that on November 28, 2024, the European Parliament refused to recognize the results of the parliamentary elections held in Georgia and called for sanctions against the leaders of the "Georgian Dream" party. On the same day, the Prime Minister of Georgia announced that the country would abandon negotiations for EU membership until the end of 2028. Following this, protests erupted in the country, which continue to this day, with participants demanding the annulment of the election results and new elections to be held.
