Warning About a New Scam

Information security expert Samvel Martirosyan warns about a new phone scam: “Warning. You receive a call from your mobile operator (currently in Russian, but it is likely that a local Armenian operator will also be involved later), offering you to click a link to supposedly register for 5G. The call comes from an Armenian number (the owner of the number is unaware, as the call is spoofed). In short, in such cases, remember: if someone asks you to fill out something or provide a code, or they want additional information, do the following: hang up, call back, and verify.”
