Seyran Ohanyan on Prime Minister's Statement

There has never been a discourse regarding Ararat and Aragats. This was stated by Seyran Ohanyan, the head of the National Assembly faction "Hayastan" and former Minister of Defense, while responding to a question about whether the discourse on Ararat and Aragats hindered the acquisition of modern weapons during his tenure as minister.

“There has never been a contradiction regarding Ararat and Aragats, in our history and our daily lives, in today’s reality. Our history is what has created a basis, relying on the positive while also excluding the shortcomings, so that we can have achievements in our modern history,” noted Ohanyan. Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated: “If our rhetoric is that we should go with a picture of Ararat and say give us weapons, then no one will give us weapons.”
