Peskov on Possible Communications Between Putin and Trump
Russia has not yet received signals from the United States regarding communications between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, but the willingness to engage remains intact. This was stated by the Press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.
In response to a question about whether Moscow is ready to organize a meeting between Trump and Putin, and whether the Russian President is prepared to travel to the U.S. for such a meeting, Peskov replied: “Therefore, we are working, as they say, on our own schedule. The willingness remains. The same willingness, as far as we know, is also maintained on the American side. Apparently, some time is needed.”
He noted that everything depends on when the leaders of the two countries deem it appropriate to have such a conversation.
