We Will Not Allow Such a Thing to Happen: Trump

US President Donald Trump is convinced that Canada is completely dependent on the United States and therefore cannot be a sovereign state. “Canada is entirely dependent on us, and therefore it cannot be a separate country. We lose $250 billion a year to Canada. I could stop that in one day, and Canada would not exist as an independent country,” Trump stated.

The US leader argues that Canada has “been using the US for its own benefit for years.” “We will not allow such a thing to happen. Without our subsidies, Canada really does not exist,” the President of the United States believes.

Trump has previously expressed support for Canada joining the US as the 51st state, promising military and other advantages if that were to happen. Canadian authorities, including Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, have assured that this will never take place.
