The Situation at the Ukrainian Border is Not Extraordinary, but Tense: Lukashenko
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has stated that the situation at the border with Ukraine is not extraordinary, but it is tense.
“I have been informed that a German national wanted to travel to the southern border with Ukraine. It is clear that the situation there is not extraordinary at the moment, but it is always tense,” he said at a polling station in Minsk before the vote.
According to Lukashenko, Belarusian border guards are currently prohibiting visits to the border “to prevent anything from happening there.”
