Yerevan Metro Responds to Incident Involving Citizen's Voucher
The Yerevan Metro has responded to reports regarding an incident involving a citizen's voucher, stating that the information circulated by the individual is false.
"The information published does not correspond to reality; the citizen's voucher has expired and the turnstiles do not accept it. If the refusal was due to a technical issue (as Deputy Mayor Suren Grigoryan mentioned, in a case of a technical problem when turnstiles do not accept QR codes, the citizen's interests are protected), the metro staff would have opened the turnstile without any issue, allowing the citizen to pass. We want to reiterate that turnstiles do not accept expired or already used vouchers. Before making such unfounded statements that tarnish the reputation of metro employees, please try to clarify the real reasons to avoid spreading misinformation," the statement read.
