Honestly, I Have No Such Ambition: Kocharian

I have no such ambition; I have never had the ambition to engage in politics, nor have I ever aspired to be a member of parliament. However, events in our country have unfolded in such a way, and there have been processes from which I could not remain detached. It would have been much more pleasant and easier for me personally to not be involved in anything and live my life, but events developed in such a way that I simply could not stay away from all of this. Thus, I do not know how events will unfold in the future, but honestly, I have no such ambition.

This was stated by Levon Kocharian during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly. Today, journalists asked him whether he aspires to the position of Prime Minister of Armenia if Russia assists in that matter.

“I do not think that political processes should be decided here with the dabble of any country,” Kocharian said. When asked about the fact that this has been the case for years, the MP stated that he disagrees with that observation and has all the grounds to feel that way.
