Vahagn Aleksanyan on the Latest Photos of Artsakh Leadership

KP Deputy Vahagn Aleksanyan believes that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan or Ararat Mirzoyan should not comment on the Artsakh leadership being illegally tried in Baku.

“No, they should not have spoken; it should have been the people not involved in the negotiations who should have spoken,” he said in a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly.

According to the KP member, there is a diplomatic nuance in this matter. “For so long, when we have talked about returning the captives, we have constantly said that we are working daily on this issue, and additional publicity will only hinder this process. If strong statements were needed for the sake of sympathy, and that would help the return of the captives, you are mistaken; additional publicity will only interfere with this process,” Aleksanyan stated.

He assured that the RA government has never stopped and will not stop working towards the return of captives.

The KP member expressed deep sorrow when he saw the Artsakh leadership in the Baku court. “I would have very much liked this all not to have happened; I would have liked our partners in Nagorno-Karabakh to have listened to us in time and gone to Sofia to negotiate, rather than listen to the opposition and not go,” Vahagn Aleksanyan added.
