US Embassy in Armenia on the Signed Document
On January 14, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan announced the opening of the U.S.-Armenia Strategic Partnership Commission, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between the two countries. This information was provided by the U.S. Embassy in Armenia in connection with the document signed the previous day.
“Strong allies become regional stability partners, and our bilateral cooperation reflects our joint commitment to a more stable, peaceful, secure, and independent South Caucasus. To date, the United States has invested around $3.3 billion in Armenia, supporting democratic reforms, economic growth and stability, humanitarian assistance, including $340 million provided since 2021. Our partnership is based on shared democratic values; we work together to expand our cooperation in the fields of economy, security, and defense, strengthen democracy, and enhance justice and inclusivity, as well as broaden exchanges between our peoples,” the embassy stated.
