Armenian-Russian relations continue. Neither Armenia is moving from its place, nor is Russia. We do not evade and should not evade: this was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, during a press conference.

He spoke about Armenian-Russian military cooperation, particularly regarding the weapons that have not yet been delivered despite the funds paid, noting that the Minister of Finance has already announced that an agreement has been reached to reduce the paid amount from the intergovernmental debt.

“Of course, I would find it difficult to say at what stage it is, but such an agreement has been reached,” he said.

According to Papikyan, this is not the only contract. “There are obligations that can certainly have contractual consequences due to delays—penalties and fines—but there are contracts that are being fulfilled properly, and I do not see the need for private discussion about them,” he added.
