Jalal Harutyunyan Found Guilty

The Syunik region court has ruled that Jalal Harutyunyan is guilty based on part 3 of Article 550 of the RA Criminal Code, as reported by the newspaper "Zhoghovurd".

According to the brief content of the indictment, Jalal Harutyunyan has been charged for being negligent in his duties while holding the position of the commander of the defense army, with the rank of lieutenant general, a public servant by virtue of his position. He was a commander with the authority to issue orders and directives within the scope of this legal relationship.

During the state of war declared on October 12, 2020, he demonstrated a careless attitude towards service, and as a result of his undue and negligent approach to the fulfillment of his official duties, he caused serious consequences.
