Peskov on Zelensky's Statement
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has released a video of the interrogation of two alleged North Korean soldiers captured in the Kursk region and stated that Kyiv is ready to exchange them for Ukrainian prisoners of war.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov responded, saying, “We cannot comment on Zelensky's statement in any way. We do not know what corresponds to reality there—who offered what to whom. We continue the process of discussing possible exchanges.”
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, during the interrogation, one of the captives claimed that he was sent to Russia for “training,” rather than for war. He was found to have a Russian military ID in another person's name, while the other soldier had no documents.
