EU Allocates Additional Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine

The European Union has allocated an additional €148 million to Ukraine and its refugees in Moldova in connection with the ongoing Ukrainian conflict. This was announced by the European Commission.

“The new funding of €148 million will continue to support vital humanitarian assistance in both Ukraine and Moldova, raising the European Commission's total humanitarian aid to over €1.1 billion,” the statement said.

It was also noted that €140 million will be directed towards humanitarian programs in Ukraine. “The funding will be used for emergency assistance, including food, shelter, clean water, health care, and winterization support,” the European Commission added.

According to them, the priorities include supporting vulnerable populations in the regions affected by the conflicts in eastern and southern Ukraine.
