Death Toll from Los Angeles Fires Reaches 24, Reports ABC News
At least 24 people are presumed dead, with over a dozen more missing due to the devastating and relentless wildfires raging in California. This has been reported by ABC News.
It is noted that the spread of the fires has been exacerbated by a lack of rainfall and strong winds. Thousands of firefighters are battling forest fires across a densely populated area of Los Angeles spanning 45 square miles. The largest of these fires has erupted in Pacific Palisades, incinerating nearly 24,000 acres and destroying thousands of structures.
Approximately 105,000 people remain under mandatory evacuation orders, while another 87,000 have received evacuation warnings.
