Another Earthquake Recorded in Sochi

Residents of Sochi reported a second earthquake today, with seismic tremors felt in various neighborhoods throughout the city, according to the United Dispatch Service, as reported by RIA Novosti.

"Yes, we are receiving calls from residents; it was in the center, there was a tremor... It literally started about four minutes ago, and now there is a mass of calls from citizens," explained the operator.

Witnesses reported that the earthquake occurred in the Central district of the resort, specifically in the Bichikha micro-district. According to Elena Karpovich, head of the Sochi Seismological Station, the intensity of the tremors was approximately four to five on the scale. The magnitude is still being verified. The epicenter of the earthquake is located in the same area where tremors were felt in the morning, in the Lazarevsky district of the resort.
