New Theory on Wildfires Eruption in California Published by Bloomberg

Fire services are investigating whether equipment from Edison International may have caused the wildfire that erupted near the city of Hurst in the San Fernando Valley of Southern California. This was reported by Bloomberg.

According to the company, a broken power line was found on a tower connected to the Eagle Rock Sylmar 220 kV transmission line. However, the organization stated that it is unclear whether the damage occurred before or after the fire.

Currently, no fire department has confirmed that the fire was caused by Edison’s electrical equipment, the publication notes.

Previously, the police in Los Angeles arrested a man. However, after questioning and investigative actions, it was determined that there were no grounds to arrest the man on suspicion of arson.

The wildfires in California have been ongoing since January 7, affecting areas in Los Angeles. The latest figures indicate that the death toll has reached 16, with 200,000 residents falling within evacuation zones. Thousands of properties have been destroyed, including homes of some Hollywood celebrities.

On January 11, a raging tornado was spotted in the Los Angeles area of California. The fiery tornado is a rare phenomenon, resembling a swirling column of fire, ash, and smoke, created by fire and strong winds.
