On January 11, at 10:57 AM, the crisis management center of the Aragatsotn regional rescue department received a call about a traffic accident on the Harthavan-Aparan highway, with reports of a trapped citizen.
A firefighting and rescue squad from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was revealed that at the 60th kilometer of the Margar-Gyumri-Tashir highway, five vehicles were involved in a collision: a 'UAZ' (driver: G. G., born 1957), a 'Mitsubishi' (driver: N. Gh., born 1990), a 'VAZ' (driver: S. A., born 1969), a 'Chevrolet' (driver: V. A., born 1990), and a 'MAN' truck (driver: V. A., born 1990).
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of the 'MAN' truck had been extracted from the vehicle and transported by ambulance. The rescuers deactivated the vehicles, closed the gas valves of the 'UAZ', 'Mitsubishi', and 'Chevrolet', and assisted the driver of the 'Mitsubishi' and passenger R. K.
