Baku to Provide Information on Armenian Detainees
The European Court of Human Rights has mandated Azerbaijan to provide information by the end of January regarding all Armenians, specifically citizens of the Republic of Armenia, held in Baku. This was announced during a press briefing by Armenia's representative on international legal issues, Yeghishe Kirakosyan.
"We have made demands in the legal processes regarding all ethnic Armenians and citizens of Armenia detained in Baku. At this stage, the European Court has set a specific deadline for Azerbaijan, which is until the end of January. Baku must provide information on all detained individuals by then. We expect detailed information regarding their conditions, rights, detention circumstances, health status, and other related issues. Once we receive this information, we will also relay it to their relatives," Kirakosyan stated.
According to him, Armenia's second complaint against Azerbaijan pertains to illegal judicial processes and unlawful deprivation of freedom concerning citizens of Armenia and ethnic Armenians held in Baku.
