Kocharian Throws Down Gauntlet to Sargsyan: The 'War' Has Started...

Former deputy of the "Armenia" alliance led by Robert Kocharian, and currently the leader of the "Mother Armenia" movement, Andranik Tevanian announced yesterday that Armenia's third President is spreading blatant lies about him, accusing him of bringing Nikol Pashinyan to power.

Hours later, Henrikh Danielyan, the chairman of the youth organization of the Republican Party led by Sargsyan, responded to Tevanian with even harsher language, also accusing him of bringing Pashinyan to power.

From all this, one can perhaps draw a single conclusion: a year before the parliamentary elections, Robert Kocharian has thrown down the gauntlet to Serzh Sargsyan. The latter, accepting the challenge, responded to Kocharian at the level of youth leadership, but it is evident that the 'war' between the second and third presidents has begun and it is gathering momentum.
