Armenia Does Not Wish to Be a Barrier, Says Ararat Mirzoyan
Davit Jalalyan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan has responded to the statements from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, noting that Armenia is pursuing the unblocking of transport routes not at the behest of any country, but out of its own interest. “Armenia does not want and does not intend to be a barrier. In the 21st century, all countries want relationships, trade, and movement,” he stated, adding that Armenia wants to be not a barrier, but a bridge.
“We want to be not a wedge, but a connecting link, a bridge. This applies to both the countries geographically close to us, literally being a bridge, and to those that are far away.”
