EU Will Not Allow This – French Foreign Minister

The European Union will not allow anyone, regardless of who they are, to invade its borders. This statement was made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot in response to remarks from newly elected U.S. President Donald Trump, who did not rule out the use of force regarding the purchase of Greenland.

"Greenland is an autonomous territory of Denmark and part of the EU. There is no question that the EU will allow any other country in the world to attack its sovereign borders," Minister Barrot stated.

He expressed confidence that the U.S. will not invade the island. "If you ask me whether I believe the United States will invade Greenland, my answer is no. But have we entered a time when the strong save themselves? My answer is yes," Barrot said.
