The Deadline for Legalizing Unauthorized Constructions in Villages Has Expired: Suren Tovmasyan
In rural communities of Armenia, a total of 7,150 unauthorized buildings have been registered, but the deadlines for their legalization have already passed. This was announced by Suren Tovmasyan, the head of the Armenian Cadastre Committee, during a press conference.
“Since 2022, around 70,000 constructions have been registered with the help of an electronic system. This is not a complete number, as there are citizens who have missed the specified deadlines. The timeframes have already expired, and the electronic system is no longer operational for any unauthorized construction. I am confident that the developers of those 70,000 registered objects have the opportunity to apply to their communities to legalize their constructions,” Tovmasyan stated.
According to him, any unauthorized construction built after 2022 is no longer subject to registration.
