The leader of the "Mother Armenia" alliance, Andranik Tevanian, a former member of Robert Kocharyan's founded "Armenia" alliance, has released a video on his Facebook page addressing the rumors surrounding his name. He stated, "Serzh Sargsyan is spreading crude and cheap lies about me. I will not remain silent now; on the contrary, I will destroy the empire of lies and evil led by Serzh Sargsyan, which is currently working in tandem with Nikol Pashinyan. Serzh Sargsyan is not in opposition; his main principle is this: as long as he has no chance to return to power, let Nikol Pashinyan remain. This means attacking and tarnishing all forces and individuals who can present an alternative to Pashinyan. That is why I have been personally targeted. Serzh Sargsyan claims that I wrote a letter to Nikol Pashinyan asking for a position. This is a brazen lie."

Tevanian emphasized that he spoke of the alleged letter days after the 2020 war during an interview with "Channel 5": "That letter was never written by me. A well-known military figure proposed in 2018 to prepare a joint analysis, assessment, and proposal regarding the expected geopolitical events and submit it to Pashinyan. We received zero feedback."
