Details on Criminal Case of Animal Cruelty in Ararat

The prosecutor confirmed on January 7, 2025, the indictment regarding a person who demonstrated cruelty towards an animal in the Ararat region, and the case materials were submitted to the competent court. This was reported by the Office of the General Prosecutor.

Proceedings against another unidentified individual who committed the crime in a group setting have been separated, and a forensic examination has been appointed.

It is noteworthy that the prosecutor initiated public criminal prosecution against the aforementioned individual on December 27, 2024, for organizing, leading, and directly participating in actions of cruelty towards a cat, together with another person, in premeditated agreement, which manifested as distinct acts of cruelty.
