Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman on the 'Zangezur Corridor'

Iran welcomes the expansion of cooperation in the transportation sector in the region; however, the sovereign rights of countries must be respected. This was stated by Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ismail Baghaei, in response to a question regarding the 'Zangezur Corridor.'

“Iran's position is clear,” he emphasized. It should be noted that the authorities of Armenia have repeatedly expressed their willingness to unblock all roads and communication routes, but have stressed that they must be under the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the respective country.
