Russian Authorities Launch Investigation into Incident Involving Armenian and Greek Flags
The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia has instructed to report on the progress of the investigation regarding illegal actions against residents of the Stavropol region. This was reported on the Telegram page of the Russian Investigative Committee.
According to reports, during an event at one of the schools in the Predgorny municipal district, some students began waving their national flags. After teachers confiscated the flags from the teenagers, they began receiving threats from unknown individuals. Furthermore, representatives from diaspora communities have been sending complaints against the teachers to various authorities, demanding their dismissal.
Earlier, information surfaced on social media indicating that at a school disco, several teenagers waved Armenian and Greek flags. Subsequently, teachers took the flags away from the students, as the event was said to have been "dedicated to New Year, rather than to the cultures of different countries."
