Georgia and Azerbaijan Relations: Some Look on with Envy, Says Mikanadze

Member of the Georgian Parliament Givi Mikanadze has stated that many countries are closely watching how Georgia and Azerbaijan are strengthening their relations with each other.

“Some people look at this with dissatisfaction and envy, but that is their business. We know that there have been empires in history that have conquered half the world, ruled vast territories and peoples, but today you will not find them on world maps. Meanwhile, small countries and peoples have managed to survive and preserve our independence because we have always appealed to values and traditions that support our identity,” he stated.

According to him, even in European countries, right-wing forces are gaining popularity, which are primarily aimed at supporting national priorities and self-determination.
