US to Provide Ukraine with Income from Frozen Russian Assets
The United States will allocate $15 billion to Ukraine from frozen Russian assets through the World Bank. The funds will be directed to social and humanitarian organizations as part of the peace project in Ukraine.
“The US will provide Ukraine with $15 billion, which is secured by future income from frozen Russian assets. The corresponding agreement has been signed between the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance and the World Bank,” Shmyhal wrote.
According to him, this will contribute to the establishment of peace within the framework of the project “Peace in Ukraine” and a partial investment of $20 billion initiated by the G7, “which is aimed at social and humanitarian solutions.” He expressed gratitude to the United States and the World Bank for implementing and supporting the initiative that makes Russia pay for its aggression against Ukraine.
