Man Whose Car Plowed Into Crowd Sentenced to Death

A man whose car plowed into a crowd last month in the sports center of Zhuhai, China, was sentenced to death on Friday, as reported by Xinhua. The incident resulted in the deaths of 35 people.

The Zhuhai Intermediate People's Court conducted an open trial for Fan Weiqiu, accusing him of creating public safety threats in a dangerous manner. Fan has also been permanently deprived of political rights.
