Changes Related to Tax Inspections

Tax policy is not only aimed at collecting taxes but also restoring justice and creating appropriate incentives. This was stated by Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan.

"In other words, with one action, we need to achieve several important goals, and often this is not that easy. Because if we undertake one action, it might create administrative problems, and the administration might not be able to implement those actions or ensure the sustenance of that policy," said the minister.

According to Hovhannisyan, simplifying the process for the administration could create problems for justice. "If we resolve the issue of justice, we may leave loopholes that could lead to abuses, and the issue of loopholes also raises questions of justice because those who are not compliant create injustice for those who are compliant. I do not claim that our tax policy solves these problems perfectly, but different measures are taken for every issue. To enhance tax discipline, we have decided not to publish the list of companies that we will inspect anymore, because those whose names were not published felt more at ease," noted Vahe Hovhannisyan.
