I Want to Meet Putin Urgently: Trump

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has expressed eagerness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine. “This is one of the things I want to do quickly, and President Putin has said he wants to meet with me as soon as possible. So we will wait for this; we need to end this war,” Trump stated.

According to him, “Millions of military personnel have already lost their lives in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, and this would have never happened if I were president. I would end the war in Ukraine, put an end to the chaos in the Middle East. And I promise that I will not allow a third world war. We are very close to the Third World War.”

Putin had previously stated that he is ready to meet with Trump. “I don’t know when we will meet. I haven’t spoken with him at all for over four years. I am ready for that,” he said.
