This Also Concerns Armenia: Zurabishvili
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, addressed the European Parliament regarding the evolving situation in Georgia, mentioning Armenia in that context. According to the President, a transition of Georgia back under Russian control would also impact Armenia.
"If Georgia falls back under Russian control, I am not talking about military intervention, I am talking about constitutional intervention, the consequences will be very severe. This concerns everything related to Central and Southern Asia. This also concerns Armenia," stated the Georgian President.
Zurabishvili also said: "After losing in Syria, should Russia win in Georgia? After failing in Ukraine, should it succeed in Georgia? After failing in Moldova, should it win in Georgia? It lost in Romania and should it win in Georgia? Of course not."
Zurabishvili added that the Georgians will not stop until Georgia has conducted free and fair elections, as "this is the democratic and political path to get out of this situation."
