Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about whether a world war is currently ongoing, stated that "no one needs to be afraid." Journalist Pavel Zarubin published the relevant interview on his Telegram channel.

"The dangers are increasing, but we shouldn't scare anyone," said the Russian leader. Putin added that Ukraine is exacerbating the situation. "Let the situation escalate further. We will always respond to any challenges, always," he noted.

The head of Russia emphasized that the country is ready for compromises, but without compromising its interests.
