Patel on Armenian-Azerbaijani Relations

The peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan continues to remain a vital direction for the current U.S. administration and the Secretary of State. This was stated by Vedant Patel, the Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, during a press briefing with journalists.

He emphasized that Washington will continue to work on this initiative until the last day of its term. When asked whether the U.S. is disappointed that its efforts in the Armenian-Azerbaijani settlement have not yielded results yet, Patel responded: “The U.S. is trying not to focus on disappointments and is simply trying to continue that work. That issue remains a vital direction for this administration and the Secretary of State, and we will continue to work on it until our last day in office.”
