Large Sum of Money Stolen from Parent of Fallen Soldiers Under Pretext of Preparing Tombstones

On December 7, 2024, the investigative department of the Shengavit administrative district initiated a criminal case where evidence was obtained that A.N. embezzled a large sum of approximately 4 million 807 thousand Armenian drams from the parent of fallen soldiers under the pretext of preparing tombstones for their graves. Subsequently, A.N. refused to return the money for various reasons.

On December 9, 2024, the supervising prosecutor initiated public criminal proceedings against A.N. under Article 255, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code (large-scale fraud). The investigation is ongoing, and necessary actions are being taken to fully uncover the circumstances of the case and to verify the possibility of other criminal manifestations committed by A.N.
