Which Roads Are Closed and Difficult to Navigate

The road from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region is closed. In the highland areas of the Syunik region and along the Ashtarak-Bavra highway, there are spots with black ice. Blizzards are reported at the Vardenyats mountain pass (it is recommended for trucks with trailers to use snow chains). Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Management Agency and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation’s North Ossetia, the Stefantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks.
