Gyumri's Shirak Airport: New Opportunities
During his visit to the Shirak Province, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan toured Gyumri's Shirak Airport. The Prime Minister inspected the newly constructed departure hall of the airport.
The country’s leader was briefed on the completed works and was informed that the new arrival and departure halls, which are already operational, will be able to service up to 1.2 million passengers annually.
The departure hall occupies an area of 1,000 square meters with 2 boarding gates, capable of servicing 2 flights simultaneously, and includes 6 booths for border control. Additionally, there is a 450 square meter area designated for duty-free shops and cafes.
Renovation works have also been carried out in the 700 square meter area of the old part of Shirak Airport, where space is planned to be allocated for organizations providing public services.
The total investment in Shirak Airport is approximately 14 million USD. The investments were made by Armenia International Airports CJSC.
