How Many People in Armenia Are Using Magnets on Water Meters? New Post by Prime Minister Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has taken to his Facebook page to raise several pressing questions. He wrote:

“Questions for which no statistic can provide a comprehensive and interconnected answer:

  1. How many people in the Republic of Armenia complain about the quality and quantity of water supply?
  2. How many people in Armenia are using a magnet on their water meters?
  3. How many people in Armenia categorically refuse to install a water meter, threatening to take drastic and decisive actions if forced to do so?
  4. How many people in the Republic of Armenia declare that they will leave the tap running all winter because it is freezing? If anyone contests this right, they will resort to drastic actions.
  5. How many people in Armenia leave the tap running at full capacity while shaving or brushing their teeth, rather than turning it on and off as needed?

“Don’t say that there are so many important issues in the country, and the Prime Minister is talking about this. There is no more important question, because all external, internal, political, economic, management, and security issues stem from how we treat our water, our food, our yards, our work, our problems – our lives in general.

“We want everyone in the world to treat us well. But we do not treat ourselves well. There are justifications aplenty for this. One could write volumes about it, or it has already been written in volumes. But reality does not change because of this. I love you all. And this does not change under any circumstance.”
