Putin Offers Missile 'Duel' to the US

The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, has proposed a missile 'duel' with the United States, showcasing how the new Russian 'Oreshnik' hypersonic ballistic missile could overcome any American missile defense system.

Putin made this announcement during his annual press conference while discussing the 'Oreshnik' missile, which he claimed is impossible to intercept. He suggested that both sides select targets that would be defended by American missiles. 'We are ready for such an experiment,' said Putin.

It is noteworthy that Russia first deployed the 'Oreshnik' missile on November 21 in Dnipro, in response to the use of American ATACMS and British Storm Shadow missiles by Ukraine.
