Dispute Over Speeding Ends in Murder

The prosecutor has confirmed a bill of indictment regarding an individual who committed murder with extreme brutality motivated by hooliganism in the Ararat region on December 13, 2024. The case has been submitted to the first instance court of general jurisdiction of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions.

On the same day, a criminal proceeding was initiated in the Vedie investigative department of the Ararat regional investigative committee, and a public criminal prosecution was initiated by the prosecutor's office. On August 31, a request was filed to the first instance court of general jurisdiction of the Ararat and Vayots Dzor regions to apply pre-trial detention as a measure of restraint, which was granted by the court.

It was found during the criminal proceedings that the accused, A.S., after a dispute with M.H. over speeding, visited M.H.'s place of residence and stabbed him 25 times with a knife he had previously obtained. It is noteworthy that on August 30, 2024, at 00:20, a report was received that M.H. had been transferred to the 'Vedi' medical center in a deceased state, with multiple stab and cut wounds.
