Aircraft Disappears in Russia
An-2 aircraft has disappeared in Kamchatka, near the village of Klyuchi in the Ust-Kamchatsky district. This was reported by the region's emergency situations minister Sergey Lebedev on his VKontakte social media page.
"At 4:45 AM Moscow time, information was received that the 'Fair Avia' company's 'An-2' tail number 33555 activated its emergency landing system at an altitude of 700 meters," Lebedev emphasized.
The aircraft was on the Milkovo-Osora route and had three crew members on board. Search operations for the An-2 have involved three aircraft, five snowmobiles, and more than ten rescuers. Additionally, a group of specialists from Klyuchi, Ust-Kamchatsky, and Osora have been put on alert.
The prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee have launched an investigation into the incident.
